Weining in Guizhou is an area of rolling mountains and crisscross gullies. Its rugged terrain once served as a “natural barrier” for geological exploration: inaccessible on foot for field crews, exploration cycles often stretching for months, and inconsistent data accuracy! Recently, however, Qingdao Haiyuehui Technology Co., Ltd. delivered a technological breakthrough with its self-developed UAV aeromagnetic detection system. In merely 8 days, the company successfully completed both mineral area survey and geological exploration tasks, setting a new benchmark for efficiency and precision in exploration over complex terrain with robust technological capabilities.

Launched officially on November 25, 2025 and successfully concluded on December 2, the exploration mission yielded remarkable results within just 8 days. The originally planned survey area for the mining project was 37.86 square kilometers. Thanks to precise intelligent route planning and advanced equipment, the Qingdao Haiyuehui team achieved an actual surveyed area of 58.88 square kilometers, exceeding the target workload by 55%. During the operation, the UAVs flew a total distance of 894.39 kilometers, navigating nimbly through alpine valleys and densely vegetated forest zones. Terrain-following flight and intelligent obstacle avoidance operated flawlessly throughout the mission. High-quality, high-density core geomagnetic field data was successfully captured, laying a solid foundation for subsequent exploration analysis.

Behind this outstanding performance lies the powerful support of Haiyuehui’s self-developed UAV aeromagnetic detection system. In contrast to traditional ground magnetic surveying, which relies on field walking and suffers from inherent low efficiency, this system acts as a “see-through aerial lens” for geological exploration. Equipped with high-precision optically pumped magnetometers and three-axis fluxgate vector magnetometers, it accurately detects faint underground magnetic anomaly signals and reconstructs internal mountain structures and mineral resource distribution clearly, much like a CT scan. Coupled with self-developed magnetic compensation algorithms and the intelligent route planning system, the UAV can automatically avoid obstacles such as buildings, power lines and deep ravines, enabling high-density surveying at low altitudes. Its data precision and resolution far outperform conventional methods, achieving both high efficiency and full-coverage accuracy.
“In the past, large-scale exploration in such complex terrain would take traditional ground teams at least one month, and even then, not all hazardous zones could be covered,” the project lead commented with pride. “Our UAV aeromagnetic system cuts the construction period from one month down to 8 days while achieving full survey coverage. The collected data boasts exceptional precision and provides core support for subsequent delineation of prospecting targets and geological structure analysis.” This dual breakthrough in efficiency and precision stands as solid proof of Qingdao Haiyuehui’s technical strength.
As a technology pioneer dedicated to the R&D of intelligent geological exploration equipment, Qingdao Haiyuehui continuously leverages technological innovation to tackle industry pain points. The success of the Weining project in Guizhou once again verifies the reliability and superiority of its self-developed UAV aeromagnetic detection system, ranking it among the industry leaders in key indicators including adaptability to complex terrain, data acquisition efficiency and survey precision. More importantly, the system greatly reduces labor costs and safety risks for exploration, helping the geological exploration industry bid farewell to “sweat geology” and step into a new era of “smart geology”.
From the R&D laboratory in Qingdao to remote mining areas deep in the mountains of Weining, Guizhou, across thousands of kilometers, Qingdao Haiyuehui uses technological power to break the shackles of geography and terrain. The successful completion of the Weining mining exploration project not only provides critical data support for local mineral resource development, but also demonstrates to the industry the formidable strength of China’s homegrown exploration technologies. Going forward, Qingdao Haiyuehui will continue to delve into intelligent geological exploration, empowering the new round of mineral prospecting breakthrough strategy with more innovative achievements and injecting sustained technological momentum into the high-quality development of the mining industry.
